The Great Warming

I have ordered a copy of the "faith edition" of the movie, The Great Warming. Earth Day is April 22nd. I've talked with a couple of you about showing the movie on that day (it's a Tuesday--but we could do Sunday instead of or in addition to).

The Great Warming

Thoughts? Anyone want to help brainstorm the context for showing the film?

Yes, I would be interested in brainstorming context and plans. Consider Tuesday lunchtime with heavy advertisement in local businesses and churches? Maybe lunch boxes, with reservations, or brown bagging. Fits with goals of "getting out there" and being there in neighborhood.

And... then showing again at an early Sunday afternoon time, again maybe having some food attraction for after rechurch?

Note my emphasis on food and convenient timing.

Would be interesting if in promoting it we could refer to Cizik's, Jenkin's (see Great Warming site for these), and the recent Southern Baptist leaders' comments

agreed. The only issue with sunday after rechurch is that there's a class going on at the same time. It might not be an issue, and perhaps shouldn't be at all since not everybody has to go to everything. I think, however, those who are involved would also want to go.
